NERON Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yasuhisa Nagasaki; hereinafter “NERON”) has entered into a joint research agreement with the Laboratory for Intestinal Eco System (Team Leader: Dr. Hiroshi Ohno, M.D., Ph.D.) at the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (RIKEN IMS). The collaboration aims to improve mental health through elucidating the mechanisms of the gut microbiome–gut–brain axis.

In this joint research, the parties will work to clarify the mechanism of action of NERON’s in-development “Mental Well-being Gut Microbiome Cocktail ECB” and integrate it with RIKEN IMS’s advanced expertise in gut immunity and microbiome research. Through this synergy, the research aims to address mental health challenges, including depression and stress-related disorders.
